A MAJOR grapple-specialist will be among the hundreds of exhibitors at AUSTimber 2008 in Mount Gambier from 3-8 March.
Canadian company Rotobec, regarded as a leader in continuous rotation and rotating grapples for the logging industry, also offers attachments such as log grapples, Butt’n’Top grapples, pulpwood grapples, waste grapples, orange peel grapples for the recycling industry, clamshell buckets for aggregate, pipe handler, rail handler, coil handler, etc.
“Rotobec also makes knuckle boom self loaders for clean-up, waste collection, and stationary mounted loaders. Rotobec makes multiple models of rotators and grapples to meet the specific customer needs in the forest, at the landing and in the mill yard,” said Renaud Bourdon, Rotobec’s vice president, sales and marketing.

Such attachments are available worldwide. “Rotobec is dedicated to providing clients with competitive, value-added products specific to their needs, and we will be looking for an agent or dealer(s) of our products in Australia while we are at AUSTimber,” said Ramos.
He said the firm had set specific goals during its sojourn to Australia including learning more about the Australian forestry industry, meeting dealers in the sector, introducing the company to the industry (“both users and dealers”) and generally gaining a greater insight into the whole Australian forest process.
