A Dealer’s Perspective on Rotobec’s Elite loaders

How speed, reliability, and parts support are shaping dealer and customer preference

A Dealer’s Perspective on Rotobec’s Elite loaders

When it comes to truck-mounted loaders in Florida’s tree service and waste markets, few dealers have as much hands-on experience as Randy McKenzie of Quality Equipment & Parts.

With 25 years in business and deep roots in the logging industry, Randy has seen multiple loader brands come and go. Today, his team sells and installs Rotobec Elite loaders across Florida, primarily for tree service, waste, and stationary electric applications.

We spoke with Randy about how the Elite platform performs in the field, how customers respond to it, and where Rotobec continues to improve.

How Rotobec’s Elite loaders serve the Florida Market

In Florida, truck-mounted loaders are rarely used for traditional logging. Instead, they are primarily serving:

  • Tree service operations
  • Storm debris contractors
  • Waste and transfer stations
  • Scale house aggregate operations
  • Construction and demolition debris handling

According to Randy, the Elite 910 and 915 are among their most popular units, paired primarily with waste grapples.

Florida’s growth and infrastructure expansion continue to drive demand.

“There’s no shortage of waste. People keep moving here, construction is booming, and garbage is not slowing down.”

First Question Customers Ask: Parts Availability?

For new customers unfamiliar with Rotobec, the most common concern is parts.

“The first question we get is about parts availability.”

Randy says this concern often stems from competitors. He specifically mentioned ongoing parts challenges with other European-based brands, which can frustrate customers once equipment begins aging.

By contrast, he emphasizes Rotobec’s strong parts support network:

  • Dealer-level parts inventory
  • Regional warehouse support
  • S.-based distribution
  • Consistent component design across generations

“I’ve never heard a bad word about Rotobec parts. That’s a big deal.”

Consistency with the Elite Lineup

One thing Randy appreciates about the evolution from the older Elite 80 series to the 910 and 915 is continuity.

While the operator station has improved and branding has evolved, the core components have remained consistent.

“They kept the same valves, same boom, same pipes. They didn’t make major structural changes that created a parts debacle.”

That continuity means:

  • Easier parts sourcing
  • Simplified service
  • Reduced confusion for technicians
  • Long-term customer confidence

Why Installation Matters More Than Most People Realize

Quality Equipment & Parts handles full installations, and Randy emphasized that proper mounting is critical.

“These loaders have to be installed correctly. PTO selection, pump setup, frame protection, plumbing – you can’t just throw one on a truck.”

With over a decade of installation experience, his team has refined the process to avoid common mistakes that can shorten equipment life.

This reinforces an important reality: performance is not just about design. It is also about expert setup.

How Rotobec’s CDS Cylinders Stepped Up

On the grapple side, Randy praised Rotobec’s responsiveness.

After a customer experienced a fitting failure on a waste grapple cylinder, Rotobec engineering stepped in and provided a prototype CDS-style cylinder.

“That was a home run. The customer was very happy.”

He also highlighted the 110WG as a strong improvement in hose routing and cylinder strength, though noted that a slightly lower profile design could help when transporting debris-filled trucks under low clearances.

Expanding with Waste & Stationary Electric Applications

As Florida continues growing, Quality Equipment & Parts is expanding into new locations and investing heavily in:

  • Waste industry customers
  • Stationary electric loaders
  • Tree debris contractors
  • Demolition and construction applications

Randy sees long-term stability in these markets.

“Waste isn’t going away. We’re going to need the equipment to process it.”

Closing Notes

Randy’s perspective reinforces several things about the Elite platform:

  • Strong parts support matters
  • Consistency across generations builds trust
  • Installation expertise is critical
  • Continuous improvement based on dealer feedback is essential

For dealers and end-users alike, that combination of reliability, support, and adaptability is what sustains long-term brand loyalty.
